Title:
Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
Class:
PreCalculus 203
Prerequisites:
Algebra 109
Duration:
20 Hours

Description:

Exponential functions definition, graphing, and transformation. Logarithmic functions definition, graphing, and transformation. Power and product rules. Solving exponential and logarithmic equations. We also make a quick review of graphing quadratic, cubic, and trigonometric functions as well as their inverse functions. Additional coverage of the special functions, their domain and range is also provided so students will be able to make a solid first step into calculus.
Applications include exponential growth and decay, carbon dating, and Newton's laws of cooling.
