Class:
Geometry 101
Prerequisites:
Algebra 105
Duration:
20 Hours

Description:

We begin with students from ground zero geometry by explaining the basic concepts and postulates, definitions, axioms of geometry. This course combines both the logical and analytical thinking of lines, angles, and geometric constructions. Students will learn deductive reasoning, congruence, and proofs. Polygons and special geometric figures with focus on triangles and quadrilaterals are explained. We also cover perimeters and areas, Pythagorean Theorem and properties of the right angle triangle, similar and congruent triangles, circles, areas and volumes of three dimensional figures.
